* Edward Wycoff Charged With Murdering His Sister And Brother-In-Law Paul And Julie Rogers

Jurors have reached a verdict in the trial of Edward Wycoff, a 40-year-old Sacramento man accused of killing his sister and brother-in-law in their El Cerrito home in 2006.Wycoff is accused of stabbing and bludgeoning to death Paul and Julie Rogers in their El Cerrito home on Jan. 31, 2006.Wycoff, who is serving as his own attorney, is charged with two counts of murder with enhancements for the use of a knife and a wheelbarrow handle in the killings. He has also been charged with the special circumstance allegation of committing multiple murders.The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office is seeking the death penalty for Wycoff.The jurors heard closing arguments in the case Monday and deliberated for less than an hour before reaching their verdict this morning. The verdict will be read at 11 a.m. in Contra Costa County Superior Court in Martinez.
