Investigators have ruled the death of a man found at the site of a suspicious San Jose house fire was a suicide, a police spokesman said today. Firefighters received a call at about 3:20 a.m. Wednesday that a fire was burning at a vacant ranch-style home at 5827 Brasilia Way, atop a hill near Almaden Lake Park. The home had anti-police graffiti sprayed on its exterior walls, prompting police to investigate, according to Sgt. Ronnie Lopez. The body was found about four hours later in the home’s basement. The Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office identified the man as a 46-year-old transient.   The fire burned about half the house before crews put out the blaze. Police and fire investigators consider the cause of the fire to be suspicious.
