Two men were arrested in Antioch Tuesday afternoon after they allegedly robbed a Kmart store at knifepoint and faked a gun to rob a nearby Burger King, according to police.At around 3:15 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting that two men with a knife robbed a Kmart store at 3625 E. 18th Street, according to Antioch police.While investigating the incident, officers received a report of an armed robbery that just occurred across the parking lot at Burger King. A description of two suspects, later identified as parolees Roger Yates, 29, and Ronnie Lisby, 51, closely matched that of the two men who reportedly robbed Kmart.Responding police quickly spotted Yates and Lisby walking down 18th Street and confronted them. The two men fled.A police K-9 was credited with apprehending Yates immediately, and Lisby was taken into custody about an hour later.No one was injured in the two robberies.Police reported recovering property from Yates and Lisby that had been stolen from Kmart, along with the knife they allegedly used. Cash taken from Burger King was also recovered. The suspects had simulated a gun to rob the fast food restaurant, police said.
