A man who was shot on a bike path in Richmond’s Iron Triangle neighborhood Saturday night is not expected to survive, Richmond police Sgt. Bisa French said today.Shortly after 6:45 p.m., police found the victim lying on the Richmond Greenway bike path near the intersection of Second Street and Ohio Avenue, French said.He was taken to a local hospital with what appeared to be a single gunshot wound.A short time later, police arrested 54-year-old Richmond resident Joseph Bossett.
Investigators believe Bossett and the victim knew each other and got into a confrontation, and that Bossett shot the victim, French said.Bossett was being held at the Martinez Detention Facility today on suspicion of murder and assault with a deadly weapon. His bail has been set at $530,000, a county jail official said.
