Salinas police arrested two teenage boys who stole a man’s ice cream cart Saturday afternoon. The robbery occurred at about 2:25 p.m. near 973 Heather Circle, according to police. The two suspects, a 16-year-old and 13-year-old, approached the victim, took out handguns, and demanded the victim’s money, police said. The victim did not have any money, so the suspects took his ice cream cart, according to police. Arriving officers were alerted to the area where the suspects had been spotted running. The officers eventually contacted the teens and located the ice cream cart and other property belonging to the victim, police said. No firearms were located, but both teens were booked at Monterey County Juvenile Hall.
