A 23-year-old Oakland man died at a hospital after a shooting that involved a sideshow in the city early this morning, a police spokesman said. Officers were sent to Highland Hospital just before 4 a.m. on a report of a shooting victim, Oakland police spokesman Jeff Thomason said. When they arrived, they found Darryl Oliver suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to Thomason. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police determined the shooting occurred in the 4300 block of Foothill Boulevard just after 3 a.m. and that the shooting was related to a sideshow, Thomason said.
