Oakland police today released the identity of a 34-year-old man suspected of killing two men and injuring a third in a shooting last week.A murder warrant has been issued for Damon Joseph Ferreira, also known as Damon Joseph Keen, for the shootings at 4075 Canon Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. Sept. 23. Damon Wessel, 48, and Michael Caldwell, 44, both of Oakland were killed and a third man suffered a serious wound as a result of the shooting, police said. Ferreira is on parole for carjacking and has an active no-bail parole violation warrant. He is described as a white man, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, and multiple tattoos, according to police. He should be considered armed and dangerous and is known to frequent Dublin, San Ramon, Livermore and Tracy.
