* Luis Serrano And Two Teen Sureno Gang Members Of Gilroy Arrested For Billiards Hall Robbery

Gilroy police have arrested three Sureno gang members in connection with a robbery and assault at the Gilroy Billiards Hall early this morning.Officers were dispatched to the billiards hall, located at 7500 Monterey St., at about 2:15 a.m.Police said three people had accosted a 36-year-old Watsonville man and demanded money from him. When he refused, they slashed his hand with a knife, police said. The suspects then fled, but a description of their car was broadcast to police in the area. Officers spotted the car and pulled it over at Seventh and West Dowdy streets.They arrested the occupants, 20-year-old Luis Serrano, of Gilroy, and two teens, ages 17 and 14, whose names are being withheld because of their ages. All three are admitted Sureno gang members, police said. The victim identified the three as his assailants and they were booked into Santa Clara County jail and juvenile hall on charges of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.The victim suffered only minor injuries.
