Six men are in custody this morning after a shooting in a neighborhood in Concord, a sergeant said.  Police got a call at 4:44 a.m. regarding a fight at or near a home near Joan Avenue. When officers were en route to the home, witnesses called the Concord Police Department again to report that they heard a gunshot, Sgt. Stephen White said.  Officers stopped a car with six men inside that was leaving the area. One of the men had been shot in the leg, he said.  Officers returned to the home at 3981 Kauri Court and people who live there said they saw someone jumping over a fence possibly trying to steal marijuana that was growing in their backyard.  Police don’t know who shot the man.  All six men are in custody. The man who was shot was taken to a nearby hospital, White said.  The California Highway Patrol assisted with the incident.   Police were still working on identifying the suspects and interviewing them around 8 a.m., White said.
