* Michael Sanchez Identified as Shooting Murder Victim in San Francisco

The San Francisco medical examiner’s office has identified a man who was killed in the city’s Mission District on Friday night as 21 year old Michael Sanchez. Another person also was injured in the shooting, according to police. It happened at about 7:10 p.m. in the area of 24th and Shotwell streets, according to police. Sanchez, of San Francisco, was killed and a second victim was injured. An employee at Philz Coffee, located about a block away at 3101 24th St., said she heard sirens go by. She said there was no panic in the store but that some customers who came in were “a little shaken up.”
