* Fairfield Police Arrest One and Cite 20 Others During DUI Checkpoint on Travis Boulevard

Fairfield police arrested one person for possession of narcotics paraphernalia and issued 20 citations to unlicensed or suspended drivers during a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint Friday night. The checkpoint was conducted in the 1400 block of Travis Boulevard and 776 vehicles were screened, according to police. Of the 20 citations, nine were for driving without a license and 11 were for driving on suspended licenses, police said. All 20 vehicles were impounded for being operated by an unlicensed or suspended driver.
