Police have arrested one of two armed suspects who allegedly broke into a Santa Rosa home early Wednesday morning, tied up a man and a woman and stole their car. Santa Rosa resident Christopher McDanial, 25, was taken into custody at around 8 p.m. after officers contacted him during a traffic stop near E Street and Bennett Valley Road, according to Santa Rosa police. McDanial was booked at Sonoma County Jail for home invasion robbery, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, a parole violation and a gang enhancement.  A search for the second suspect is ongoing. The Sonoma County Alliance’s “Take Back Our Community” program has offered a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest. The break-in was reported at about 12:15 a.m. in the 2600 block of Hardies Lane in northwest Santa Rosa, Sgt. Lisa Banayat said. The suspects, who had their faces covered, took cash and jewelry then fled in the residents’ Nissan, Banayat said.  Police found the car at about 3:10 a.m. in the parking lot of a store at Middle Rincon Road and state Highway 12, Banayat said.  Please call the Fugitive Watch hot line at 1-800-9-CAUGHT (1-800-922-8448) or text at 408-355-0999 if you have any information on this crime.
