Jeff Osgood said. The two men agreed to meet in the 1300 block of Travis Boulevard around 6:15 p.m. Thursday so the prospective buyer could test drive the car, Osgood said. The prospective buyer then suggested they drive to the Petco store at 1370 Holiday Lane to meet his mother, Osgood said. Two other males were waiting there and the three suspects stole the vehicle at gunpoint, Osgood said. The carjacking victim was not harmed.Fairfield police broadcast an alert to other law enforcement agencies, and a California Highway Patrol officer in Contra Costa County spotted the vehicle around 7 p.m. on Interstate Highway 680 and state Highway 24, Osgood said.Officers pursued the vehicle into Oakland where it crashed and the three suspects fled, Osgood said. Police arrested the driver, Deval James, 19, for carjacking and conspiracy after the vehicle owner and a witness identified him as one of the suspects, Osgood said. The other two male suspects, ages 18 and 15, remain at large.
