* San Francisco Police Need Help Identifying Suspect In A hit And Run From 9-5-09 At Silver Avenue And Elmira Street

San Francisco police are looking for witnesses to a hit-and-run Saturday night in the city’s Silver Terrace neighborhood that left a woman hospitalized.Police spokeswoman Sgt. Wilfred Williams said the 48-year-old woman remained at the hospital today and was being treated for head trauma. She was expected to survive.The incident was reported at about 10:50 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Silver Avenue and Elmira Street.Williams said the woman was crossing Silver Avenue near Elmira Street when she was struck.
