A 41-year-old man was arrested in Concord tonight after allegedly stabbing a man in the back in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant in the city, a police sergeant said. Jose Revolorio-Lopez was arrested after the stabbing, which was reported shortly after 7:10 p.m. at the restaurant at 1691 Monument Blvd., according to Concord police Sgt. Steve Chiabotti. A 22-year-old man and a couple friends were walking in the rear of the parking lot when they encountered Revolorio-Lopez and his friends, who were apparently loitering outside the restaurant, Chiabotti said. After a brief exchange of words, an altercation ensued and the 22 year old victim was stabbed in the back. Revolorio-Lopez was chased back to his apartment by the victim and his friends, who called police, according to Chiabotti. The suspect eventually came out of the apartment and surrendered to police, Chiabotti said. The victim was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek with a puncture stab wound that is not believed to be life threatening, according to Chiabotti.
