Police continue to search for a man who robbed two San Jose businesses in July while wearing a pink muumuu and a straw hat.On July 11 at around 12:40 p.m., a robbery was reported at Payday Loans in the 700 block of Story Road, according to the San Jose Police Department.On July 18 at around 10:35 a.m., officers responded to a robbery at Clyde’s Liquor Store at 3963 Snell Ave.The suspect in both robberies was described as a man between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 170 pounds. During both crimes, the suspect wore a pink long-sleeve muumuu with a white and purple floral pattern, a tan-colored straw garden hat, white gloves and tan shoes.Police said that it isn’t unusual for suspects to wear disguises during robberies, but describe the disguise used in both July robberies to be “noteworthy.”Anyone with information regarding the robberies or suspect is asked to contact San Jose police Detective Toshi Hata at (408) 277-4166.
