A man was shot and killed in San Pablo Wednesday night, police said. Police responded to reports of shots fired at the intersection of Road 20 and 22nd Street at about 7:10 p.m. Arriving officers found a man who had been shot in his upper torso. The victim was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said. Witnesses told police that a late-model four door sport utility vehicle with tinted windows pulled up to the victim as he walked near the intersection, and someone inside fired several shots. The SUV drove off on Road 20 toward San Pablo Avenue, police said. Witnesses told police the SUV’s occupants were two males in their mid- to late teens but did not provide a detailed description. The victim’s name has been withheld pending notification of his family, police said.
