Monterey County sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday arrested two suspected drug dealers at a motel in Greenfield, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies pulled over a vehicle at about 9:55 p.m. and found that the driver, 18-year-old Tomas Garcia, was on felony juvenile probation for burglary, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. A search of the car yielded a knife, a violation of Garcia’s probation terms, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies then conducted a probation search of Garcia’s motel room at the Pueblo Inn Motel 22 Fourth St. Greenfield. During the search, officers found methamphetamine packaged for sale, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and other evidence of trafficking, sheriff’s officials said. A woman, Veronica Landey, was in the motel room and was arrested on outstanding warrants. Garcia was arrested on drug charges and violation of probation.
