Santa Rosa police arrested two men for burglary and one woman for battering a police officer early this morning after a window-smashing incident at Sam’s Market.Police went to the market, located at 1020 Hopper Ave., at about 3:15 a.m. after an alarm went off, Sgt. Lance Badger said. Officers found that a window on front door had been broken saw someone running from the scene. Police chased the person to an apartment complex in the 3600 block of Airway Drive where neighbors reported seeing someone run into a garage, Badger said.Three females were in the garage and police found the male suspect hiding between a washer and dryer. The man refused to come out of hiding and was shot with a Taser and taken into custody, Badger said. One of the females in the garage assaulted an officer and was taken into custody, Badger said. The officer was not injured. Police also found a second suspect in the market burglary and arrested him without incident.Daniel Venegas, 18, of Vallejo was arrested for burglary and resisting arrest.Pricilla Valenzuela, 18, of Vallejo, was arrested for interfering with a police officer and battery on a police officer.James Whaley Jr., 20, of Santa Rosa, was arrested for burglary. All three were booked into the Sonoma County jail.
