* 17-Year-Old Suspected Antioch Gang Member Claudio Vasquez Arrested In Connection With Live Oak High School Stabbing

A 17-year-old suspected gang member turned himself in to Antioch police today after allegedly stabbing a 16-year-old student at Live Oak High School Tuesday, police said.Police identified the suspect as Claudio Vasquez of Antioch. They said he was arrested and was being interviewed by investigators this afternoon.The victim, who police have not named, was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek after being stabbed in the torso Tuesday afternoon at the school. He is expected to survive.Witnesses identified Vasquez as being responsible, and police had issued a warrant for his arrest before he turned himself in, according to police.Vasquez and the victim are members of rival gangs, police said.
