A 19-year-old man was killed and two other victims injured in a shooting at a house party in unincorporated San Lorenzo early this morning, an Alameda County sheriff’s sergeant said. Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of gunshots in the 100 block of Paseo Grande around 2 a.m. and found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds, Sgt. J.D. Nelson said. “It was a very chaotic scene,” Nelson said. “Many people were attempting to leave the home.” One of the victims, a 19-year-old Oakland man, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Nelson. The other two victims were transported to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley. One, a 17-year-old boy, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and is in serious condition, Nelson said. The other victim, a 20-year-old man, was shot in the hand and has since been released from the hospital, he said. Authorities believe the shooting stemmed from an argument at the party that escalated into a physical altercation. “An argument became a fistfight, and somebody or some people pulled out a gun and shot all three victims,” Nelson said. No suspects have been arrested. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Sgt. Dave Dickson at (510) 667-3921 or Deputy Kristen Tucker at (510) 667-7477.
