* Vacaville Police Arrest Rome Dennis, 37 And Romiro Rangel, 51 In Sex Offender Compliance Raid

Vacaville police led a multi-agency compliance check Thursday on locally registered sex offenders that resulted in two arrests.The sex offender compliance sweep was conducted from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. by officers from the Vacaville Police Department, Solano County probation, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation parole, Fairfield police and the U.S. Marshals Service.Of the 38 convicted sex offenders visited during the sweep, two were arrested. Rome Dennis, 37, of north Vacaville, and Romiro Rangel, 51, of south Vacaville, were arrested for parole violations, according to police.The purpose of the operation was to make sure convicted sex offenders are in compliance with their registration, probation or parole conditions.Anyone with questions regarding sex offender compliance can call the Vacaville Police Department Family Investigative Response Services Team at (707) 469-6600.
