* Oakland Police Identify Juan Betancourt As Man Killed In Triple Shooting Near 5800 block of International Boulevard

A man who was fatally shot near a recreation center in Oakland Tuesday night has been identified as 22-year-old Oakland resident Juan Carlos Betancourt, police Officer Jeff Thomason said today.The shooting happened at about 9:40 p.m. in the 5800 block of International Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds.Emergency medical personnel pronounced Betancourt dead at the scene. The other two victims, a 13-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, were transported to a local hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.The two wounded victims, both Oakland residents, are expected to survive their injuries, Thomason said.Oakland homicide detectives were still investigating the case today, but so far have not identified any suspects or motive for the shooting, Thomason said.
