* Scotts Valley Police Investigate Construction Site Vandalism

Police are analyzing evidence found at a Scotts Valley construction site where several vehicles were vandalized over the weekend.
Officers were called Monday to the Falcon Meadows residential development on Green Hills Drive, north of Elzer Drive, where approximately 15 heavy earth movers and tractors were found vandalized, police said. The vehicles had been left parked at the site over the weekend. An unknown substance was inserted into various engine components, Surrendering the equipment inoperable, police said. The damage is believed to be extensive but the cost has not been assessed. Evidence gathered at the site is being analyzed at a crime lab, police said.
