A 29-year-old El Sobrante man was shot to death in his vehicle in San Pablo on Thursday afternoon, according to San Pablo police. Police received a report at about 5:10 p.m. that shots had been fired at the intersection of 23rd Street and California Avenue. When officers arrived, they found Edgar Noriega sitting in his white sport utility vehicle. He had been shot in the upper torso and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Witnesses told investigators that Noriega had stopped at the intersection and exchanged words with several people in a small white car, police said. The car then drove up alongside Noriega’s SUV and someone fired several shots out the passenger side window. The white car then sped away on California Avenue. The suspects were described only as three Hispanic males in their mid-to-late teens. Their vehicle was a small, late model four-door car.
