An attempted armed robbery took place Thursday night in a shopping center parking lot in Corte Madera, police said. At around 8:30 p.m., two men in their late 20s approached a victim sitting in a white Chevrolet Denali in the Village shopping center parking lot, according to Twin Cities police. One of the suspects pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and asked for the victim’s wallet and took the keys out of the ignition, according to police. The victim screamed for help, police reported, and the two suspects left in a dark green Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck without taking any of the victim’s property.
