* Oakland Man Nhat Nguyen Arrested For Alleged Burglary In The 2200 block of Allegheny Way In San Mateo

A 19-year-old man was arrested in Oakland Friday morning for his alleged involvement in a burglary of a home in unincorporated San Mateo County near the San Francisco State Fish & Game Refuge last week, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.Nhat Nguyen was taken into custody this morning for allegedly being one of two burglars who were seen in a home at about 1:45 p.m. on Aug. 5 in the 2200 block of Allegheny Way, according to the sheriff’s office.A young girl was home alone when she heard a noise in the home and discovered that two burglars had entered it. The suspects ran out of the home when they saw the girl, according to the sheriff’s office.The suspects fled in a dark Mercedes Benz CLS500, and another neighbor who saw the incident was able to provide the license plate number, which was tracked to the home of an Oakland resident, according to the sheriff’s office.Investigators eventually identified Nguyen as one of the suspects, and obtained a warrant for his arrest that was served at his home in Oakland this morning, according to the sheriff’s office.Nguyen was booked into San Mateo County Jail for burglary, and his bail was set at $45,000. He will be arraigned in court on Monday, according to the sheriff’s office.The other suspect, described by the neighbor as a Hispanic man in his 30s or 40s, remains unidentified and is still at large.
