* Vallejo Police Identify Jamillah Monroe, 33, As Carjacking Suspect From July

Vallejo police Tuesday identified a suspect in a July 8 carjacking. Jamillah “Black” Monroe, 33, of Vallejo, is believed to have been
involved in the carjacking at Capitol and Marin streets, Detective Mat Mustard said. Monroe is a black female, 5 feet 8 inches and approximately 160 pounds. She has black hair with red highlights, Mustard said.The male driver of a 2008 Dodge Caliber was carjacked around noon after he agreed to give the female suspect a ride, Mustard said. The woman then attacked the driver in the car and took his keys. The driver suffered minor injuries and the Dodge was recovered a few days later, Mustard said.Monroe has “an extensive criminal record and spent time in state prison,” Mustard said Anyone with information about her is asked to call (707) 648-4514.
