San Francisco police detained several people Sunday night after responding to a report of a possible home invasion robbery in the city, a
police sergeant said. The robbery was reported at about 6:15 p.m. at a home in the 1500 block of Newhall Street, according to Sgt. Wilfred Williams. Officers established a perimeter around the home after learning that armed suspects were possibly inside the home, Williams said. At about 9:30 p.m., several people inside came out the back of the home and were detained by officers, according to Williams. Investigators detained everybody and transported them to the Bayview police station to identify which were the suspects and which were victims in the incident, Williams said. Inspectors were able to enter the home to begin investigating the robbery, which will continue this morning, he said.
