Santa Rosa police are investigating a possible gang-related stabbing Thursday night near the Sonoma County Fair.  Officers responded to a report of an injured man near the fairgrounds at Brookwood Avenue and Lee Street at around 7:40 p.m., according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.  Arriving units reported finding a stabbing victim bleeding from the neck in the 1200 block of Lee Street. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for the injury, which was not expected to be life threatening.  Investigators on the Police Department’s gang crime team were told that the victim and a male relative had been assaulted by suspected gang members near the county fair carnival area. Then the two left the fairgrounds and separated. The victim was reportedly attacked again and was stabbed by an unknown number of suspects, according to police.  Anyone with information regarding the assault is asked to contact Santa Rosa police Detective Cregan at (707) 543-3670.
