Two people were beaten and stabbed in Gilroy on Thursday night, in what police say was likely a gang attack. Police responded to a report that two stabbing victims had walked into a hospital at around 9:15 p.m. Gilroy Police Department officers were told the victims had been
attacked by four males in the 8200 block of Murray Avenue. The suspects beat and stabbed the two victims while shouting gang slogans, according to police. The victims’ wounds were not life threatening. Investigators believe the attack was a random act, as neither victim appeared to have any criminal gang affiliations. The attack remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding the attack is asked to contact Gilroy police at (408) 846-0347.
