* Suspect in Oakland Officer-Involved Shooting Was Threatening Officer

An officer-involved shooting occurred at a liquor store in Oakland tonight after a male suspect allegedly threatened an officer with a hatchet, according to Oakland police Officer Jeff Thomason. The shooting occurred at about 9:08 p.m. in front of Tolin’s
Liquors at 7101 International Blvd, Thomason said. According to Thomason, a male suspect was shot several times by an officer after he threatened the officer with a hatchet.  The suspect was transported to a local hospital, where his condition is unknown, Thomason said.  The officer was not injured in the incident, according to Thomason.
