A male victim was shot in a vehicle this morning in Oakland, a police spokesman said. The shooting was reported to the Oakland Police Department at 5:10 a.m., police spokesman Jeff Thomason said. Officers at the department were told that a person had been shot in a vehicle at Grand Avenue and Harrison Street. When officers went there they learned that the vehicle had moved to 20th Street and Broadway, Thomason said. They found a male victim at that location who had been shot. The victim, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
