Police are investigating two drive-by shootings that took place on Richmond streets Wednesday night. The first shooting was reported in the 3000 block of Moyers Road at around 9:25 p.m., Richmond police said this morning. A 35-year-old man was
sitting in his vehicle in front of his home when another vehicle reportedly drove past and opened fire, hitting the victim’s vehicle several times. The victim sustained minor injuries from shattering glass, but was not injured by gunfire, police said. Street when an occupant in a white minivan traveling in the opposite direction opened the sliding side door and began shooting at him. The victim drove off in an attempt to escape and crashed into vehicles parked along the roadway, police said. The man was ultimately able to drive himself to a hospital where he was treated for a single gunshot wound in the arm. No suspects were taken into custody. The driver of the minivan was described to investigators as a Hispanic man with dark curly hair, police said. The shootings are under investigation.
