Two men were arrested on several burglary charges in unincorporated Monterey County on Monday morning after officers conducted an exhaustive search to track them down, according to the sheriff’s office. The men, Angel Cayetano, 20, and Jesus Ramirez, 32, are suspected of smashing the windows to a gray 1987 Honda Accord and stealing a car stereo, according to the sheriff’s office. The search began at around 8:15 a.m. near Old Stage Road and Williams Road east of Salinas, where the suspects crashed their car into a big-rig while being chased by a witness to the alleged burglary. After the crash, the two fled on foot. Sheriff’s deputies called in K-9 units and California Highway Patrol ground and air units to scour an agricultural field near the suspects’ abandoned car and a heavily wooded creek area nearby.  Cayetano and Ramirez were ultimately located and arrested for
burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools.
