Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of shooting a clerk during a robbery at the 5 Star Gas Station in Vallejo in May. The teen was arrested Tuesday while participating in a social services program in Fairfield, police said. The boy, whose name is being withheld because of his age, has addresses in Vallejo and Oakland, Sgt. Kevin Bartlett said. He is considered
the primary suspect in the robbery and shooting, police said. Police are still looking for two other suspects who also entered
the gas station’s store at 101 Lincoln Road West around 9 p.m. on May 6 and demanded money from clerk Anil Kumar. One of the three suspects fired several shots during the robbery, which was captured on a surveillance camera. Kumar survived but was shot in the face and was treated at John Muir Medical Center, police said. Police said at the time they were also investigating a possible connection to a second armed robbery on May 6 at a Dominos Pizza at 1833 Springs Road. No one was injured in that robbery, police said.
