A man and a woman were killed in a shooting in Richmond Monday night, according to police. Officers responded to a report of a shooting in progress at around 10:55 p.m. on Carlson Street near 47th Street, according to the Richmond Police Department. A man and a woman in a Nissan had been stopped at a stoplight heading north on Carlson when an unknown suspect fired several shots into the car, police said. The two drove on until Potrero Avenue where police found them suffering several gunshot wounds and crashed into a parked car. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police reported. The woman was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation, and no suspects have been identified. Police are asking for the public’s help.
