Four California Highway Patrol officers were transported to a hospital this morning after they crashed while they were chasing a vehicle in San Jose, an officer said. At around 3:45 a.m., officers initiated a pursuit of the vehicle for a traffic violation, CHP Officer Steve Griefer said. The driver didn’t stop. During the pursuit, the CHP vehicles crashed at Canoas Garden Avenue and Almaden Road.  The four officers who were traveling in two patrol cars were transported to an area hospital, he said. Two officers had minor injuries and the other two were taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons. The suspect was not caught, Griefer said.
