Two men were arrested early this morning in Santa Rosa on suspicion of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a young woman, officials with the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department said.  Sheriff’s deputies went to the area of Dutton Avenue and Debbie
Drive in Santa Rosa around 12:10 a.m. in response to a report of a woman screaming for help, Lt. Scott Dunn said.  Deputies didn’t locate anyone but were told a vehicle left the area just before they arrived, Dunn said.  A California Highway Patrol unit saw a vehicle speeding north on U.S. Highway 101 near River Road minutes later, Dunn said. The car failed to stop and the CHP unit pursued it to Mark West Springs Road in Larkfield.  Two males ran from the car into a residential neighborhood and the
CHP officers found a female passenger in the vehicle, Dunn said. The woman said she was abducted at knifepoint minutes earlier from the Dutton Avenue area, forced into the car and sexually assaulted, Dunn said.  CHP officers and sheriff’s deputies searched the area and found one of the suspects in a backyard. At 4:50 a.m., a resident in the area said he saw someone walking through his yard and deputies located the second suspect trying to hide in a nearby yard, Dunn said. Deputies arrested Rogelio Carlos-Zaragoza, 25, and Leonel Carlos-Zaragoza, 35, from the Santa Rosa area for kidnapping and sexual assault. They were booked into the Sonoma County Jail under $1 million bail, Dunn said. Both are scheduled to appear in Sonoma County Superior Court
Tuesday afternoon.
