San Jose police have introduced a new tool that allows the public to upload images of vandalism they witness around the city on the department’s graffiti tracking database. The images and information are reviewed by investigators and added to the database to gather an accurate account of the damage committed. Police hope this collaborative effort with the community will reduce graffiti incidents by enabling the department to track and arrest offenders.
