Prosecutors will not pursue murder charges against five alleged gang members arrested for last week’s fatal shooting of a San Francisco man in the city’s Bayview District, a district attorney’s spokeswoman said today. Delvon Fields, 28, of San Francisco, was found shot at about 5:20 p.m. Thursday at McKinnon Avenue and Third Street. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.Police arrested four men, London Shaw, 21, Artell Robbins, 20, Cyril Hanna, 22, and Cecil Terrell III, 21, and one woman, Zikay Starks, 18, in connection with the crime. All five are San Francisco residents. Starks, the first to be arrested, was taken into custody a few blocks away about half an hour after the shooting. Prosecutors initially filed murder charges against Stark, but those charges will be dismissed today “pending further investigation,” district attorney’s spokeswoman Erica Derryck said. Prosecutors have also declined to file murder charges against Shaw, Robbins, Hanna and Terrell for the same reason, Derryck said. She declined to elaborate on the details of the investigation. Hanna, however, was still scheduled to appear in court this morning on a vehicle theft charge, his attorney said On Friday afternoon, police spotted Shaw and Robbins in the 1500 block of Kirkwood Avenue, also blocks away from where the killing happened.Robbins was detained immediately, but Shaw fled into a nearby home where he barricaded himself, surrendering more than five hours later, police said.Police arrested Hanna on Saturday afternoon in the 1100 block of Fillmore Street. Terrell was arrested at the San Francisco Hall of Justice Saturday evening. The five suspects were each booked on one count of murder, five counts of attempted murder, one count of participation in a criminal street gang, one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle and one count of conspiracy.
