A man who was shot to death in the 2900 block of East 7th Street in Oakland Sunday night has been identified as 21-year-old Victor Basulto of Oakland, police said Tuesday.Basulto was killed in the same block where 18-year-old Francisco Villasenor of Oakland was killed about 18 hours earlier, around 4 a.m. Sunday. But Oakland police spokesman Jeff Thomason said the two shootings aren’t connected. He said it appears that Basulto was shot in connection with a domestic-related dispute.Thomason said Basulto and two other men were in a car and were trying to contact one of their ex-girlfriends in the area.He said gunfire erupted and Basulto was struck as were one of his companions and a man on the street.Basulto was taken to Highland Hospital in Oakland, where he was pronounced dead. The two other men were hospitalized and are expected to recover.Thomason said anyone with information about Basulto’s death is asked to call the police department’s homicide section at (510) 238-3821.He said police don’t have information on a suspect or motive in Villasenor’s death.
