UPDATE-ARRESTED-Unknown Woman Wanted for Robbery of Fremont Bank of America

UPDATE-ARRESTED- On 5-28-09, Daphne Elizabeth Cole (DOB: 8/13/1963) was arrested in Hayward for a series of bank
robberies in the East Bay. Cole robbed seven banks (3 in Fremont, 2 in Hayward, 1 in Newark and 1 in Union City) between 4-2-09 and 5-21-09.

The Fremont Police Department is asking for Fugitive Watch viewers help in identifying the woman in this photograph.  Detective John Harnett reports that on April 2nd 2009 at about  11am, she entered the Bank of America at 39300 Fremont Blvd. She wrote a demand note inside the bank and waited in line. A customer made a large deposit and the suspect waited until that teller window was open. At this point, she allegedly took out a gun and pointed it at the teller and said “I have a gun and put the money in the bag.” The suspect exited the store and walked to an adjacent parking lot where she had parked her vehicle. There she took off a wig when she was inside of hervehicle. This suspect possibly robbed a Chase bank in Hayward on April 1st 2009 and a Bank of America in Newark on April 7th 2009.  The suspect is described as a Black female, approx. 30 to 35 years, 5′-6″ to 508, 130 to 150 pounds,
medium length wavy hair (she is wearing a wig in above photo) last seen wearing brown suit jacket, brown skirt to knee, white tank top, large black sunglasses, black gloves and large leopard print purse. The getaway car was described as a Mid to late 1990’s white Jeep Cherokee style of vehicle.
