UPDATE-ARRESTED- On 5-28-09, Daphne Elizabeth Cole (DOB: 8/13/63) was arrested in Hayward for a series of bank
robberies in the East Bay. Cole robbed seven banks (3 in Fremont, 2 in Hayward, 1 in Newark and 1 in Union City) between 4-2-09 and 5-21-09.
The Fremont Police Department is currently seeking to identify the woman in this photograph.  According Detective Michael Tegner that on April 24th 209 at about 9:30 am this woman entered the Chase Bank at 39395 Paseo Padre Parkway. Once inside, she walked up to a teller and allegedly robbed the bank at gunpoint. She parked her getaway vehicle, which was not seen, in an adjacent parking lot. This is the fifth bank robbery by this same suspect (three in Fremont, one in Newark, one attempted robbery in Hayward). She has used a 90’s white Jeep Cherokee and a newer model silver PT Cruiser in the past.  She is described as a Black female, approx. 30 to 40 years old, 5′-4″ to 5′-6″ tall, 120 to 150 pounds with dark hair pulled up on top of her head. She was wearing large dark sunglasses, a long-sleeved dark-colored top with the sleeves pulled to the middle of her hands, black pants and dark gloves.
