A couple and their child were rescued from the rocks near Rodeo Beach in Marin County tonight after the rising tide left them stranded, a U.S. Coast Guard lieutenant said. The Coast Guard received reports that the family was stuck around 8 p.m. and found them just northwest of Point Bonita, Coast Guard Lt. Steve Barry said.  The agency initially launched a small boat to rescue the family, but the boat was unable to reach them because of the tide, according to Barry. The Coast Guard then launched a helicopter, which hoisted the family onboard and flew them to the Coast Guard’s Air Station near San Francisco International Airport, Barry said.  None of the family members were injured, he said.
