* Salinas Parolee Jason Harry Bishop Arrested On Reports Of Inappropriate Actions With Teenage Boys

A 43-year-old Salinas man was arrested for parole violation this morning after authorities received reports of inappropriate interactions with teenage boys, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.Jason Harry Bishop was arrested at his home at 1215 De la Torreafter the sheriff’s office received a report at about 11:15 p.m. Thursday from a mother that said Bishop had tried to contact her teenage son. Investigators discovered that Bishop had also attempted to contact other teenage boys, and had sent a sexually explicit letter to one of them, according to the sheriff’s office.Authorities entered Bishop’s home and found evidence of his attempts to contact the teens. He later admitted to the attempts, according to the sheriff’s office.It was determined that Bishop’s conduct constituted a violation of the conditions of his parole, and he was arrested this morning, according to the sheriff’s office.The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have been contacted by Bishop to call Detective Larry Bryant at (831) 755-3772.
