* Oakland Reports San Leandro Man Edwin Grady Shot To Death, 8600 Block Of Bancroft Avenue

A 25-year-old San Leandro man was shot and killed in Oakland this afternoon, police said.Officers went to the 8600 block of Bancroft Avenue shortly after 2 p.m. on reports of a shooting victim. Arriving officers found Edwin Grady suffering at least one gunshot wound, Oakland police spokesman Jeff Thomason said.Grady was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.The motive for the killing is under investigation and anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call Oakland police homicide investigators at (510) 238-3821. The shooting marked the 58th homicide in the city this year, according to Thomason.
