* Fairfield Police Arrest San Jose Felon Ramondo Hamilton At Motel 6 at 1473 Holiday Lane

Officers conducting a compliance check at a Fairfield motel on Monday arrested an Oakland man for allegedly possessing drugs and a firearm, according to the Fairfield Police Department.At around 7:15 a.m., officers found the name of a suspect with an outstanding arrest warrant listed among the guests at a Motel 6 at 1473 Holiday Lane, police said. Oakland resident Ramondo Hamilton had been sought by San Jose police on a felony arrest warrant for grand theft.Officers contacted Hamilton in his motel room and found $12,000 in cash and a set of keys to a car in the motel parking lot, police said. Hamilton denied any involvement with the car, police said.A search of the car yielded a loaded gun, rock cocaine and about $900 in cash, police said. They also reported finding paperwork connecting the vehicle to Hamilton.Hamilton was arrested for the outstanding warrant, possession of rock cocaine for sale, possession of cocaine base for sale, possession of a handgun by a felon and possession of a handgun with the serial numbers removed.
