The second suspect in a Guerneville murder has been extradited from Arizona and booked into the Sonoma County jail, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department said this afternoon.  Gary Allen Scott, 56, asked to speak with sheriff’s detectives late last week, said Sgt. Tim Duke. Investigators traveled to Arizona and returned with Scott Friday. He previously refused extradition and a hearing was scheduled in Yavapai County, Ariz., for later this month. Scott, of Prescott, Ariz., will be arraigned Tuesday afternoon in Sonoma County Superior Court for the murder of 67-year-old Michael Van Tillman in his Guerneville home on June 25.  His co-defendant, Andrew Brian Sharkey, 35, of Blackburn, England, will be arraigned for murder Tuesday morning.  Duke said the murder involved legally grown marijuana. “He (Tillman) was just living in the residence where the business was being run,” Duke said.  Sharkey and Scott were selling the marijuana and Tillman was not directly involved in the transaction, Duke said. An autopsy determined Tillman was strangled with a wire and stabbed in the back of his upper neck in a residence in the 1700 block of Orchard Avenue in Guerneville. His body was found in a bedroom. Duke said Tillman was robbed but it’s unclear if he was robbed before or after his death. Sharkey told the sheriff’s department in Santa Rosa on June 27 that he witnessed a murder three days before. He was arrested after being interviewed. Scott left for Arizona after the murder, the Sonoma County
Sheriff’s Department said. He was taken into custody there by the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Department.
