* One Dead, Seven Wounded in Early Morning Oakland Shooting

One person was killed and seven more injured in a shooting in Oakland early this morning, a police sergeant said. The shooting was reported in the 8300 block of International Boulevard around 12:30 a.m., according to Oakland police Sgt. Danielle Bowman. Responding officers found six victims suffering from gunshot wounds and transported them to area hospitals, Bowman said. Two other victims transported themselves to hospitals, according to Bowman.  One of the victims died and the others have been listed in stable condition, Bowman said. Suspect information was not available.
